Drape Forming

Drape Forming
Drape forming (or oven forming) is more than just a manufacturing process. It’s an acquired skill that takes many years to perfect. At Goldleaf Plastics, we have almost three decades of experience in drape forming and meeting the most exacting product requirements. This assures you of high quality, accuracy and consistency – on both large and small projects.
Our drape forming equipment and expertise allows us to heat sheets of plastic of varying sizes and form them into numerous components and products that require a gradual curve or
bend. This includes dozens of items such as windshields for recreational vehicles, tanning bed acrylics and shields or guards for machine equipment.
Our drape forming equipment includes:
Single Stage Forming Oven
- Allowable sheet size: 60” by 108” (ideal is 48” by 96” or smaller)
- Allowable materials include: ABS, Acrylic, Expanded PVC, PETG, Polycarbonate and Polystyrene
- Used for prototyping and small run production
Wide-Belt Forming Tunnel Ovens (2)
- Allowable sheet size: 60” wide by any length
- Allowable materials include: ABS, Acrylic, Expanded PVC, PETG, Polycarbonate and Polystyrene
- Used for large quantity runs
The large production conveyor oven that we use in our manufacturing process gives Goldleaf Plastics a competitive advantage because it can form very large parts efficiently while maintaining the highest levels of both quality and consistency. Also, because the related tooling is all done in-house, you’ll benefit from shorter lead times and quicker delivery.
